there. How’d you arrive at that?
Not by trying. Because people who try don’t
come up with things like ‘numinous’ right off the bat. That’s somewhere you get to by earning your way into it. But what I want to know is how did you mean it?
You can fill pages with words. We've got plenty of those books. They’re
called ‘dictionaries.’ But it takes people to supply the meanings.
You build a
thing with the right angles, the right scanlines of thought, and off it goes.
People fill it in themselves, with their own lights and their own shadows. And the
afterimages always reveal a little more than you put into it.
Which is why we
do the work. The work of angles. So, again, I have to ask: what did you mean by
it?
